Inland Rivers Network campaigns to:

Restore more natural flow patterns and support the
Murray-Darling P Cap on diversions;

Support environmental flow releases;

Protect flood flows from excessive harvesting

Conserve threatened fish species;

Reduce saline inputs into the aquatic environment;

Protect riparian habitats from clearing and over-grazing;

Protect the unregulated Paroo River from irrigation; and

Promote cross-border flow management in the River Murray and in rivers crossing the New South Wales Queensland border.

Advocate for the removal of unnecessary or particularly environmentally damaging weirs, and the addition of fishways to key remaining weirs;

Mitigate cold water pollution from dams and weirs;

Reform water legislation in New South Wales and Queensland;
