Rights Report IRN & ACF report on 'Establishing Freshwater Aquatic Reserves in NSW'"This document presents a case for establishing a comprehensive, adequate and representative (CAR) system of Freshwater Aquatic Reserves in New South Wales. NSW Fisheries, the State Government agency responsible for administering the Fisheries Management Act 1994, has established eight aquatic reserves to date in marine/estuarine areas, and is in the process of establishing up to another twenty two. Further, four Marine Parks are either in existence or being planned for joint administration by NSW Fisheries and the NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service."
